Entry 01

How we pick what to build

Every app we consider starts with the same question: who is this actually for, and have they been given something worth their time?

Not a demographic. A person. Someone with a specific, recurring part of their life that's harder than it needs to be, and no software that genuinely helps with it. The kind of person who's made peace with a workaround because nothing better exists.

That's the gap we build into. Not the crowded middle, where ten apps already do the same thing slightly differently. The overlooked edges, where the need is real and the shelf is empty.

Entry 02

The home screen test

We use one filter for every app we build: would we pay for it ourselves, and would it still be on our home screen three months later?

Not the first week, when novelty does most of the work. Three months in, when the novelty is gone and the app has to earn its keep on its own merits.

Most ideas don't survive this question. That's the point. The ones that do tend to be quiet, specific, and useful in a way that doesn't announce itself. They just make a part of your day slightly better, every day. That's the bar.

Entry 03

Why we build quietly

We care about launches. We just think a launch should mean something actually landed.

The sequence matters: build until it's real, then make some noise. Not the other way around. A waitlist for something half-finished is a promise you're borrowing against. We'd rather show up with the thing in hand.

When it's ready, we'll be loud about it. Until then, the work is what's happening.
